As a first step the government can make all the streetlights with solar-powered LED lights. The government offices can rely on solar panels for lighting purpose. The government can easily demand it on both government and private sector.Utilization of renewable energies other than solar depends on the climatic conditions of each place.Biomass is a good source of renewable energy. For newly build houses it should be made compulsory to install solar powered lighting system.

Government may look for a plan to make it mandatory for all new building constructed and building used by big corporates to install solar energy system. One thing which I think can be worked out is that if with the help of any corporate solar energy system is being installed in any village, it will be considered as a CSR activity of the corporate. Along with solar energy we should also look towards the increasing of ground water level and promote rain water harvesting all over India.
