The role of new and renewable energy has been increasing significantly in recent times with the growing concern for the country's energy security. To achieve energy self-sufficiency, it is necessary to deploy new and renewable energy for supplementing the energy requirements of our country. So, we ask you to suggest ways for encouraging the use of renewable energy on this open discussion forum.

Please see the video attached we have a long coast line this could be of help to us if indigenously built with corrosion resistant materials. At the lowest cost by giving royalty for the design.

Since we have very large source of solar power we can do following things 1) Maximum use of Day light no power should be used for lighting in day time 2) All new up coming building should be made compulsory for solar roofing which are connected to a grid this will produce lot of power 3)All residential projects should be equipped with solar water heating 3)the star hotels should run there own bio gas plant and use the gas for there power and kitchen needs this will reduce waste also

Many house top can be converted to solar energy source. Instead of rigid solar panel, flexible panel mostly suited in rainy places. Government may support this by startup who manufacture the flexible panel and give incentives to people who are interested to install it. This is best suited for rural households.

Its great that a lot of Solar Plants are coming up in India wherein solar panels are installed on a rigid structure on the ground. WHY CANT THEY BE INSTALLED SAY, ABOUT 10-12 FEET HEIGHT STRUCTURES SO THAT THE GROUND CAN STILL BE UTILISED. And the panels are also safe from animals / floods etc.

Waste management need to be redefined to to be used for the cheaper price and can be installed in all the upcoming societies, buildings. This can give rise to the utilisation of the BioGas which can be produced in-house. This is a long term economical solution for upcoming generations and will be a control on the Waste that is produced per day. The Central/State Govt should give preferences and make that a mandate for all builders to give a provision for that in any of the constructions thy mk.

Respected sir, We need to design better Solar power inverters. The present technology to use solar power in large quantity still requires that Line power should be available. Offline inverter is expensive because of batteries. We need to manufacture better batteries at lesser cost. Solar panels need be manufactured at lower cost. Cost of present day solar system gets recovered only in about four years and by that time batteries need replacement. We need to make solar power VIABLE.

The idea of "renewable energy" is an energy that is renewable n can be used again n again. One such energy can be WATER that is soon to be distant sight in many part of India. Thus, we should work first to conserve that energy for coming generations. PLANT as many trees on large scale as possible. Make that a revolution, a mandate in the schools, colleges and involve them to take part in that activity.

Human excreta is stored in septic tanks in flat system and independent houses, hotels rest houses etc. If the same is collected in tanker lorries and the sediments separated and heated to convert it into gaseous form we can use the gas as fuel for generating electricity. www.bccresearch.com and http://ankurscientific.com will give full details of the projects. It will also save a lot on construction and hazards of disposal of the night soil in cities

promotion of bio gas plants specially in villages as the raw material is easily available. panchyat fund should be used for it instead of wasting on other useless things. these should be run under panchyat. and the out come that is gas and manure can be sold with the village. bio gas should be provided through pipe lines to the villagers.

installing micro hydro plants which use the natural flow of river or canal and their maintance should be handed to the panchyats so that they can distribute and also create revenue for panchyats
