Competence of teachers and their motivation is crucial for improving the quality. Several initiatives are being taken for addressing teacher shortages, shortages of secondary school teachers in mathematics, science and languages, improving the quality of pre-service teachers and in-service teachers professional development, enhancing the status of teaching as a profession, improving teachers’ motivation and their accountability for ensuring learning outcomes, and improving the quality of teacher educators. The objective of this theme is to assess the existing scenario and provide workable solutions to address the gamut of issues in teacher education in the school sector.

1. There should be academic audit in schools. In that audit, auditors should check students and Teachers academic Portfolio. 2.Block should be divide in cluster and each cluster must have an academic coordinator or a resource coordinator. 3. Each school must inspected twice in a month. Feed back should be provide to teachers for learning outcomes. 4. Text books should contain text material cum work book, so teachers can provide hands on activities to students.

Inservice Training should be given to school teachers to refresh their knowledge atleast 7 days per year. there should be one inspecting officer for 10 High Schools and 50 Elementary Schools so as to achieve good results. for inservice teachers promotions should be given to 10+2 course under PGT and it should be attached to every High school one Principal to 9th,10th,10+1,10+2 classes and one Headmaster from 1st to 8th classes.

Teacher training program must not be conducted by employing body ,CBSE should come forward with an effective training body comprising of effective+energetic+good teaching techniques +good skills teachers from the country.(2) No government sector or autonomous bodies (KVS/ NVS) have data bank of retired officials n teachers with their e-mails n contact no.These organizations must prepare a data bank of their retired employees with field of specialization n e-mails n contact no.

A certification program that teachers need to take at regular interval also helpful in ensuring teachers efficiency. Teachers also have subject knowledge.

c) A number of students do B.ED. as a backup. B.ED. colleges should be strict in exams and attendance. d) Reservation should not be at least in entrance to B.ED and other teaching exmas. e) There should be promotion and reward system in education so that it encourages teacher to perform better.

Below suggestions can be helpful in resolving the issues with teacher: a) A teacher should be given the highest rank in the country. b) There should be a course that is required for being a teacher even for a private teacher. The period and syllabus for this course should be sufficient enough. Course should be practical not theoretical only.B.ED/M.ED is not much affective.

1) All India Teachers Exam for specialized training followed by Interview to check that one has keen interest in teaching of one is just try to get job. 2) Promote teaching as 'Social Service' rather than a job for less competitive people 3) No compromise on quality of teachers - standards of selection of teachers should be same for all. 4) B.Ed or M.Ed programs should be monitored properly and private institutions should be abolished in training of teachers.
