Pravasi Bharatiya Divas has emerged as a wonderful forum to strengthen the bond between the diaspora and the people of India. It offers unlimited opportunities for India to gain from the skill and insight of the diaspora, who have been the pride of India across the world.

This forum seeks inputs on how to further sharpen the focus of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas for the overall development of India. Share your views on what more can be done to make the interaction between the NRIs and the Government more productive and impactful. How can India receive more investment not only from the diaspora but also from the world at large?

If you find global best practices of how various Governments have been innovatively engaging with their diaspora through such summits, you can share the same here too.

Indian business travelers - both residing inside and outside India - face a constant uphill task of having to secure visas for travelling within Asia. Perhaps if India could became a part of the APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) scheme, I'm sure it would help both improve productivity and economic growth.

First, GOI should not look NRIs just as investment sources. Second, Embassies shud b made more responsible and accountable by having online issue tracker. it is a common problem that Embassies does not respond in many cases. Third, Online job portal shud b launched 4 NRIs willing to relocate to Bharat. It is more economical instead of GOI outsourcing projects to MNCs.

I really feel that this is the time Government should take some action towards reducing India's population. Steps like: putting more tax on families that will have more than 2 children from now onwards. I feel biggest problem of our country are Corruption and Population.I am sure gov is working on reducing corruption, so my suggestion is to focus on 2nd one as wel

If the approval procedure for the investment from outside is amended in such a way that the client will get a full trust in our country alongwith saving his time. This will definitely attract more investment... Jai Hind

My brothers and sisters in USA were regularly investing in India through Mutual funds. Now Indian Mutual Funds have stopped accepting investments from US Citizens. Why Indian government not doing something about this. Why legitimate investments in Mutual funds in India is stopped for some rule of US government.
