Pravasi Bharatiya Divas has emerged as a wonderful forum to strengthen the bond between the diaspora and the people of India. It offers unlimited opportunities for India to gain from the skill and insight of the diaspora, who have been the pride of India across the world.

This forum seeks inputs on how to further sharpen the focus of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas for the overall development of India. Share your views on what more can be done to make the interaction between the NRIs and the Government more productive and impactful. How can India receive more investment not only from the diaspora but also from the world at large?

If you find global best practices of how various Governments have been innovatively engaging with their diaspora through such summits, you can share the same here too.

NRI children should also get equal as that of the child in india regarding utilization of educational norms so that the money spent on child's education will be transformed into an investment into india. Also the NRI's of choosing foreign countries for their children education will curtail and in turn returns those funds going to foreign coutries under child education will also turn back to india.

According to me a person goes to abroad only because to earn a good money and make wealth. If our Government provide a good opportunity to them to make that fortune from their own country nobody will reject. The government can provide good infrastructure and support so that everyone can earn a wealth then I am sure nobody will want to stay thousand miles away from their country and family. They can develop themselves as well as their country. everybody wants security from the Government.

Ensure all tax, utilities are connected to net to enable NRI to pay the amounts from their domicile country and not trouble their aged relatives to go to govt offices. Update Airport rules to stop customs fleecing poor travellers using outdated rules (eg carry gold worth 15K). Hotlines at embassy for enquiries within that country for indians to know their rights and ask for assistance. Simplify bureaucracy in embassy for simple tasks like attestations, affadavits

Hi,i am in abu dhabi we are facing the child admission problem. in India a child of age 3 years 6 month can gets the admission in KG1 but here is not the same rule for this our child losing one year. they are back one year from indian students. 1 year is very much precious in this competitive society. So the education policy should be the same all over the world if school is of Indian curriculum(CBSE). Pls. take this matter seriously because many parents like me facing the same problem here.

Improve passport security using biometrics, use interpol data as mandatory for passenger screening, working with EU, OCEANIA, S.AMERICA, AFRICA unions for visa free entry for limited time (eg, 20 days), start welfare fund for labourers and lowly paid NRI, use corpus fund to engage legal assistance in foreign countries for indians who are stuck without consular assistance, engage air india express to ferry indians from Gulf at affordable costs & not cross subsidise rich by fleecing poor labourers
