It is now a satisfactory situation for NRIS as they are given life time visas and other hurdles removed. The influx of capital can be initiated by Government generated projects with financial guarantee of the repatriation of all of the capital when required.
Individual Investment and projects will need a lot ground work before the conditions are conducive for the investment. .

In research & education, like China, India should encourage its Pravasis to collaborate with fellow Indian students/researchers/educationists on at least one topic/project/idea. This will help exchange of knowledge/working-styles/discipline. Every chinese professor collaborates with fellow chinese professor which helps their country grow by gaining experience that otherwise would have to be gained by sending each researcher to US/Europe.

We should open up ElectricityDistribution Sector and invite NRIs to invest in Electricity generation and distribution.I think this sector has huge potential for growth .If NRIs start investing inthis sector then this Infrastructre facility can change the face of economy as this will help to bring down the current high rates of electricity and will also make many a villages and far off places useful for economic activities.

Most Pravasi Bharatiya (PB) have proved themselves as entrepreneurs. They should be encouraged to start up at least one of their projects by taking at least one Resident Bharatiya (RB) as their partner. At least one of their projects should be on Make-in-India (MII). This is a 3-way winwin idea: 1. PB will get Indian market and will contribute to India. 2. RBs will become entrepreneurs by partnering with experienced PBs. 3. MII will get boost. And, there will be many other advantages to India.
