Pravasi Bharatiya Divas has emerged as a wonderful forum to strengthen the bond between the diaspora and the people of India. It offers unlimited opportunities for India to gain from the skill and insight of the diaspora, who have been the pride of India across the world.

This forum seeks inputs on how to further sharpen the focus of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas for the overall development of India. Share your views on what more can be done to make the interaction between the NRIs and the Government more productive and impactful. How can India receive more investment not only from the diaspora but also from the world at large?

If you find global best practices of how various Governments have been innovatively engaging with their diaspora through such summits, you can share the same here too.

Subject :- Feedback regarding requirement of documents attested by gazetted officers I took admission in MSc (Computer Science) course of Karnataka State Open University (http://www.ksoukarnataka.com), As per admission process, I need to submit qualifying certificate & it should be attested by Gazetted officer. When I asked them that as per latest direction, self-attest is sufficient , gazetted officer sign is not required. To my surprise they said, there is no such change in regulation.

Unnecessary expenditure must be abandoned.Only essential expenditure is to be incurred.Proper accounting of expenditure is a must.Every possible step should be exercised to minimise the expenditure.

There are people who are staying outside just to earn money or to fulfill their greed. India can do without such NRIs. The government should bring only those talented people back who have gone abroad due to political injustice or victims of corruption. These people should find a place in the cabinet as well.

Is the Govt really serious to lure the NRI's? I read a report that inward remittances will attract service tax, are we serious about cutting out red tape and make things easier for NRI's? or is it just rhetoric. On the one hand we believed that the Modi Govt. will simplify life by making governance citizen friendly, including taxation, and here the CBDT is trying to reactivate the Service tax on remittance. Please ensure that such statements are in sync with your promises Mr. Modi

Ministry of Transportation web site is one example which shows how 'Babus' and politician are involved in corruption. Any one want to see how?, you visit the web and try to fill online form for LEARNER Licence of LMV. Aftre filling all the information you will find that, 'SUBMIT' button is deactivated and interestingly 'CANCEL' button is activated. This is new way of corruption. I hope PM, Narendra Modi will look in to this matter. Otherwise corruption will be there but the ways will be smart.
