Essentially by seeing that there is a single window clearance and easily available financing schemes. There are many initiatives that our NRI community comes forward with; it could be with some innovation or inventions which are often neglected. In the past, Indian government bodies have neglected their proposals, giving way to foreign companies who have profited from the inventions of Indians.

This is a great portal to express our views and serve India in any shape or form. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to speak. I am a NRI residing in USA, about 64 KMS northeast from NY City. I appreciate Government of India for opening such a platform to get feedback from layman, and to solve issue. For immigration purposes NRI may need to submit Police clearance certificate, When we approach the police department the it took 4 weeks to get it done after visiting every single day and paying bribe. So this should be made very simple to get it. Either it has to be done online and certificate to be delivered through mails. Which would save time, burden on parents.

For renew Driving licence, there should be provision for online renew and personal presence is not required. I know that the license can be used for resident proof. But i have to come back after 5 years and i have my own house on which my present licence registered.

But most NRIs complain of the red tapism in the Govt deptt., and whenever they want to open an industry, they face so many hurdles that they wind up without setting up any business here.We need to give them a clean platform to work, and clear their applications promptly. Also provide them electricity, help in building infrastructure etc

NRIs have played an important role in the development, and sending financial assistance to their own family members, and ultimately, contributing to the foreien exchange of the country. It is a well known fact that the NRIs played a big role in the overall development of Gujrat state, since a lot of gujratis who live in USA, have been sending regular remittances to their families, buying residences, setting up industries( pravasi), and helping in times of emergency and natural disasters.
