Kalyan-Dombivli is one of the 98 cities shortlisted to be developed as a ‘Smart City’ under the Smart Cities Mission of the Government of India. Kalyan Dombivli is in the process of revising the smart city proposal to participate in the Round-2 of Smart City Challenge.

KDMC appreciates the continuous support from citizens in the preparation of the plan. Further, the corporation invites the views and suggestions of the citizens on the draft proposal prepared for Kalyan-Dombivli. We hereby request you to provide us your valuable insights and suggestions on the proposal.

24*7 water and electricity. Shopping centres. Clean and hawker free roads. People following traffic rules. Check on illegal constructions.

While walking on flyover, there should be no pherivalas. Dustbins should be placed for cleanliness purposes. Water facilities for citizens For safety, there should be CCTV.

Make some very strict rules for people spitting gutkha, tobacco, throwing cigarettes, throwing garbage directly on road, peeing on roadside,₹500 fine must be charged immediately and in that case. Tahsildar office / SETU needs to change and speed up their process, as so many applications are always delayed, If possible complete processes and services need to be replaced by online services to save paper and valuable time of applicants.

My smart city will definitely have common facility like broad roads without potholes, 24x7 water, IT Hub, solar street light. Railway station area should have separate road for heavy transport. KDMC should implement 'rewarding plantation schemes' which will encourage people to plant a tree and taking care of same.

Infrastructure - Widening of roads near station and connecting roads. From station to khadakpada. Old bhaji market,markets opp station to be completely shifted from ther to some other place Petrol pumps to be increased Traffic police to be more active for wrong parking especially on station roads Pollution levels and noise levels to be reduced Skywalk to be demolished. It has no takers. Separate flyover for buses like in thane. Bus depot to be revamped #kalyandombivli #SCPRound2

In city Transport - Autos should ply by meter No of buses to be increased in the city limits. Today buses ply from ringroutes. Horse carts to be banned Kdmc bus app to be developed for all bus timings update. In city and kalyan to other cities Ac buses should ply from kalyan to Belapur, Thane, Airoli, etc Bigger and cheaper Parking lots to be built Auto fleet to be curtailed To promote cab service #kalyantransport #mysmartcity #kalyandombivli #SCPRound2
