Kalyan-Dombivli is one of the 98 cities shortlisted to be developed as a ‘Smart City’ under the Smart Cities Mission of the Government of India. Kalyan Dombivli is in the process of revising the smart city proposal to participate in the Round-2 of Smart City Challenge.

KDMC appreciates the continuous support from citizens in the preparation of the plan. Further, the corporation invites the views and suggestions of the citizens on the draft proposal prepared for Kalyan-Dombivli. We hereby request you to provide us your valuable insights and suggestions on the proposal.

Giving an identity to the city - based on its main economic activity, such as local cuisine, health, education, arts and craft, culture, sports goods, furniture,etc.

smart city should be pollution free. roads should be clean and should have traffic signal system . vehicles should be PUC certified . plantation on both sides of roads with sufficient public toilets and drinking water ficilities. To control the Traffic odd-even formula should be implement.

Segregation of waste shall be done at the household only into Dry and wet garbage etc. Littering of waste shall be made illegal and a fine shall be imposed on the person who is responsible for littering. For better management and efficient use of KDMT, it shall be made privatise

Approach road and DP road in tge city must be developed Policy for Rainwater Harvesting shall be made mandatory and compulsory in whole of KDMC irrespective of old or new building or socities

Creating walkable localities –reduce congestion, air pollution and resource depletion, boost local economy, promote interactions and ensure security. The road network is created or refurbished not only for vehicles and public transport, but also for pedestrians and cyclists, and necessary administrative services are offered within walking or cycling distance.
