FCI SHOULD DISPOSE ITS LAST YEARS STOCK & ALSO DAMAGED STOCK FOR PURCHASING NEW STOCK. BUT THIS SHOULD BE DONE TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION OVERALL CROP POSITION IN INDIA OF BASIC COMMODITIES LIKE FOOD GRAINS,CEREALS & PULSES. STORAGE FACILITY LIKE SILOS WITH DIGITAL WIEGHT METER SHOULD BE INSTALLED AT ALL DISTRICT HEAD QUARTERS FROM WHERE IT IS AGAIN DISPATCH FOR DISTRIBUTION PURPOSE. FCI SHOULD FOCUS ON ONE FOOD SECURITY & SECOND INFLATION OF THIS BASIC COMMODITIES.

Food corporation of India must reveal the statistics about the storage of food grains every year. And if there is a excess of food grains, then the excess food grains must distribute to poor families with free of cost, But don't waste it.

I will suggest two ways which will be a win win situation for everyone. 1. FCI should have a dedicated procurement division which will directly buy from the farmers hence more profits to the farmer and hence increasing the purchasing power of the farmer. 2. After the above step FCI should focus on the storage of the grains. They should invest in cold storage chains ans other storage techniques where there is 0% wastage. Hence ensuring food to every single person in India.

FCIs objective of food security has to be expanded to providing an efficient food supply chain. 1. FCI expand warehousing space through franchising to pvt parties 2. FCI can adopt cloud computing and become a real time service providers of Food ERP - This will help monitor food production statistics, food sales at APMCs, Food movements in Warehouses/Trucks etc. 3. FCI can provide GPS enabled trackers to Trucks/Trains to monitor food movement 4. FCI with QCI can provide quality norms for food SCM
