The Govt. of India has set-up a High Level Committee (HLC) of experienced persons and experts under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Shanta Kumar, to recommend restructuring of Food Corporation of India (FCI) with a view to improving its operational efficiencies and financial management.

The constitution of the High Level Committee by the Government of India and its terms of reference are placed in the public domain at FCI website: www.fciweb.nic.in  

General Public and stake-holders including professionals, academicians, scientists, NGOs/institutions, self-help groups, co-operatives, farmer bodies/associations, rice/ flour millers, handling & transport contractors, government bodies etc. in the field of food management, agriculture, storage, warehousing, supply chain and logistics etc. are hereby solicited to send their suggestions on restructuring of the Food Corporation of India.

Suggestions are also invited to reorient the role of FCI in Minimum Support Price operations, storage and distribution of foodgrains and food security systems of the country.

Views may also be given with regard to integration of supply chain of foodgrains in the country, suggesting most efficient model for storage and least cost option of moving grains alongwith tracking of carriage. Views on
models of scientific storage and upgradation of technology in management of foodgrains are also welcome.

First of all, we should use the advanced technology in the stirage of foodgrains. Currently we store the foodgrains in the conventional godown and due to this some amount of foodgrain is deteriorate. We should make highly advanced godown, silos for storage of foodgrains.

As a rice miller,one day I happened to see two ladies staff in some FCI office,during my 10 years business.Some one told they are old fci employee and come once in a month to collect their salaries.What Fci does can easily be done by private sector by spending 1/4th of what FCI waste as food subsidy.A private group like ITC in competition with FCI can serve the purpose far better and save billions of rupees as are wasted as corruption, leakage, mismanagement,wastage.

DEAR SIR WHEN FCI AND STATE FOOD AGENCIES PURCHASE FOOD GRAIN FROM FARMERS AND TAKE DELIVERY OF RICE FROM MILLERS THEY TAKE BRIBE FROM THEM IF ANY NOT GIVEN THEY TORCHER TO THEM BY BAN THEIR ENTERY IN STORAGE POINT AND REFUSE THEIR STOCK TO ACCEPT AND NO OFFICERS OF FCI TAKE ATTENATION ON THAT BECAUSE ALL TAKE THEIR COMMISION AND MILLER IF MAKE COMPLAINT ALL OFFICERS TORCHER TO HIM IN MANY WAYS AND DUE TO FEAR OF LOSS HE ALSO MAKE A PART OF CORRUPTION SO GIVE ATTENATION ON THAT MATTER

DEAR SIR WE CAN SAVE A LOT OF MONEY IF WE CAN MAKE STORAGE IN THAT WHERE HOUSE WHICH SHOULD BE IN RAILWAY YARD BECAUSE ALL OPERATION WILL BE IN ONE ROOF NOT TRANSPORT LOSS ,STORAGE LOSS, AND INDIA CAN SAVE FOOD GRAIN WHICH SPRED ON ROAD IN TRANSPORT AND WE CAN SAVE LABOUR FOUR TIME ALSO IN THIS CENTRE GOVERNMENT MAKE PRESSURE ON STATE GOVT TO ARRANGE LAND TO MAKE BUFFER GODOWNES AND ALL FOOD STOCK DELIVERY SHOULD BE ON RAILWAY HEAD STORAGE POINT

DEAR PRIME MINISTER I HAVE 18 YEARS EXPERIENCE ABOUT FCI I DEAL WITH FCI AS A MILLER AND I APPRICIATE TO RECONSTRUCT FCI I WANT TO GIVEN SOME SUGGATION FIRST ALL TRANSPORT SYSTEM WILL BE ON KILOMITRE BASIS NOT BY TENDERS BECAUSE IN THAT MANNER OFFICER MAKE CORRUPTION 50% AS COMMISSION AND ALL TRANSPORT SHOULD BE IN COVERED VEHICLE LIKE CONTAINERS BECAUSE IN TRANSPORT TRUCK DRIVER STOLEN RICE,WHAT,ETC THEY MAKE SHOWER OF WATER ON WHEAT TO GAIN WHEIGHT ALL OFFICER ALSO INVOLVE IN THAT WORK

firstly,stop corruption at small levels like block and district bcoz it always starts from the bottom.Secondly,exams and interviews are not fairly organised so that every person who gave a lot of money for the job then how can we expect corruption free system from them.

Resp PM, I am working as Jr Engineer in East Delhi Municipal Corporation so I am also a part of Swachh Bharat. Such activity is the need of hours in India,But in which manner the programme is being run by EDMC this is not the way.The officials of EDMC are not providing the resources for cleaning.They are saying like this"बस कर दो काही से भी कर दो" पता नहीं वो कौन सा खाता है जहां से कर दे।सीधे सीधे भ्र्टाचार को बढ़ावा। स्वच्छ भारत बने किन्तु इस तरीके से नहीं !

FCI should be closed and all its godown to be given on rent to small interprenures in parts.They will store the given quantity of grains and return the same after deducting the reasonable losses and will be paid charges depending on quantity and duration.

श्रीमान मोदीजी, नमस्कार, मै एक सरकारी कर्मचारी के तौर पर कनिष्ठ अभियंता के पद पर कार्यरत हू! मे पूर्वी दिल्ली नगर निगम मे कार्य करता हु ! मे आपका ध्यान विभाग मे अनैतिक रूप से सरकारी कर्मचारियों पर राजनैतिक लोगो द्वारा दबाव मे काम करने पर दिलाना चाहता हु, खास तौर पर जो आप ही की पार्टी से है ! मुझे मालूम है की संघ के लोग बहुत ही ईमानदार है ! किन्तु आप ही की पार्टी के लोग जो की निगम पार्षद है कर्मचारियों पर अनैतिक दबाव बनाते है ! जिससे पार्टी खास तौर पर संघ की बदनामी होती है ! ऐसे निगम पार्षदो पर लगाम लगानी बहुत आवशक है ! मैंने करीब 12 वर्ष डॉ हर्षवर्धन के साथ काम किया जब वो यहाँ विधायक थे कभी इस तरह की परेशानी नहीं हुई !
