Electronics Sector is a critical Sector of the Indian Economy. It is one of the pillars of “Make in India” and “Digital India” programs of the Government.
Keeping in view that the Electronics Manufacturing Sector holds a great potential in the Indian context, and there has been a gap between the achievement and the potential of this sector, NITI Aayog has prepared a Draft Strategy Paper for Make in India in Electronics.
This Strategy paper titled Make in India - Strategy for Electronic Products has been uploaded on NITI Aayog’s website and can be accessed here: http://niti.gov.in/writereaddata/files/document_publication/Electronics%...

We would appreciate valuable comments and inputs on the Strategy Paper from relevant stakeholders and public at large by 15th June 2016.

Establishment of CEZs would be good too. The major market which can be aimed at for export by local industries is Africa. And also in the poorer countries of SE Asia and West Asia and others which the Western giants are unwilling to work with. For the African part I would say the place is Cochin. It will be quite closer to Africa than Mumbai and Gujarat. And the strategy for electronics must be for Export, how long can we survive in case of cutting of supply lines if we completely on Import?

As for the taxes, simply bring the GST to give avoid double taxation and whatever tax would be levied, bring it down to say 70-80%. By this, the investors would simply come in large which would eventually balance the tax lost by reducing it too 80%. As proposed, tax holidays for investment of 500 million$ and jobs for 15,000 is a nice strategy. Giving them land at subsidy (70% company and 30% govt sounds good to me)would attract further investments.

Namaste Sir, AS all know food is a basic need just after air and water, major part of it should be get through agriculture only. in present days due lack of facilities for farmers, youths are moving towards cities and towns to find some jobs. The government employees are getting good salary, pension and other facilities and do their job in a room, even with Air-condition. so from now onward instead of increasing their salary and other facilities concentrate on formers and especially youth.
