I wish to bring to your attention the concern regarding the upper age limit of 35 years for recruitment to Assistant Professor posts. This limit may suit general government jobs but not teaching positions, where candidates must complete postgraduate studies and spend 5–7 years on Ph.D. research. This restricts sincere scholars, especially first-generation graduates facing social and economic delays.
Temporary posts in central institutions help some candidates remain eligible beyond 35, but most scholars—particularly from rural and weaker backgrounds—do not have such opportunities. Many gain valuable experience in private institutions yet are denied government posts only due to age.
Women face added challenges such as marriage expectations, childbirth, and career breaks, making strict age limits especially unfair.
Request that the Government consider removing the age limit, extending it to 40–45 years, and providing full relaxation for women to ensure fairness and inclusiveness

Sir I travel 32 km daily to School. Roads are not good enough. Total 64 k.m. 32 k.m to school and 32 k.m from school to home. So I pray to you when you will come in power in Bengal please give us posting within 15 k.m. West Bengal govt doesn't give us Full dearness allowance. Fuel cost reduces savings plus energy. So it will be beneficial for teachers and students also.

(Education and Skill Development)
