The general public/stakeholder is hereby informed that the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) invites comments/suggestions on the amendment in “Apprentices Act,1961” with an objective to enhance the apprenticeship opportunities for youth.

Any person/stakeholder desirous of sending their comments/suggestions may do so through e-mail at anita.sriv@nic.in within thirty working days from the date of publication of the details of the invite.

The last date for submission of inputs is 10th May 2021.

It should start from tenth standard , Students can pursue field of interest as an apprentice and decide if it's suits their interest, acedemic recourses can be made available as standardised online resources. This way youths have a chance early in life and can contribute meaning fully

All courses ranging from diploma, degree, and post graduation should be linked with the industry in which the student will be working in the future. 30% of the course duration should be occupied with the industrial training / on the job training / Apprentice time. This will enable the student to get the much needed knowledge about what is expected out of him in the immediate future once he comes out from college. Also industry will get much needed additional manpower.

Sir, Apprenticeship Act should be amended on the basis of One Nation One Act, if the power of rectification or ratification of Amendment Act will be given to State Governments the Act will be diluted.

The purpose of successful completion of apprentice needs to be ensured by the trainer as well as trainee. the both should be sincere.

This committee first work is how many youngsters in colleges,how many in no work range,how many members in employment offices. the committee will get good details for this.
