I welcome the proposed DHRUVA amendments to the Post Office Act, 2023 and appreciate the vision of treating address information as a core Digital Public Infrastructure. A standardized, interoperable, and consent-based digital addressing system can greatly improve service delivery, logistics, emergency response, and welfare access, especially for rural, tribal, and underserved communities. The emphasis on user consent, privacy-by-design, alignment with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and clear separation of roles between the Network Administrator, Address Service Providers, and Validation Agencies is commendable. I suggest ensuring inclusive access through post offices and CSCs for citizens with limited digital literacy, clear user rights to update or revoke consent, transparent grievance redressal mechanisms, and safeguards to prevent misuse of address identifiers as identity or ownership proof.

Proposed amendment is a unique endeavour of Ministry of communication. Needs modification and infrastructural facilities of postal system is urgently required as a part of Vikshit Bharat programme. Digitization may yield positive and speedy communication of information help remote areas population in each and every segments. People of the country always feel safe and secured while using services of the postal system. In this context Govt of I sia plan of amendment is always welcome initiative for the development of the country as a whole. Thus the design of modification plan of the Ministry is positive intervention of communication system of our country. We all welcome this initiative under our respected Prime Minister's guidance and leadership to achieve the goals of Vikshit Bharat.

post office is doing a commendable service and the rates of these services are very low as compared to the private courier agencies or any other similar service provided by private agencies/companies. It is apparent that the service charges in post office have to be raised in resonance with similar charges elsewhere. Another point is in the new digital system of post office services, customer will get a quick service and on the other hand post office will have to do some additional tasks like tax detection on source for which robust computer system and server availability is required.

Dear Leadership, the upcoming Amendments to the Post Office Act 2023, with “Digital Hub for Reference and Unique Virtual Address (DHRUVA)” as part of the nation’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), are commendable. However, we also want a proactive revenue generation approach within this comprehensive policy framework. Recently, the state of Bihar or Kerala PO chiefs have launched the Gen G post offices, but we could add more ways to our revenue. We want honorable leadership to give a free 30-day trial to PO boxes available in Indian locations, and PO boxes will be introduced as an option with each delivery of service. Thus, along with address as service, people of India will have PO boxes as service with this grand policy doctrine. We are positive that it will not only add a big revenue base to GOI but also bring satisfaction to citizen trustworthy items in transit. Kindly consider.
