Create a film about your grandparents, and share it with us!

In the latest episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged Indian children to engage with their grandparents and ask them about their life as children: what sports they played, which theatre or cinema they went to, which relatives they visited, festivals they celebrated, and so on.

These stories would not just take the children to India back then, but also be an invaluable treasure for the family, to be cherished forever.

Here’s an opportunity for all children (and adults too), to interview their loved Dada-Dadis, Nana-Nanis or any other elder in the family, like ‘cub reporters’; video record the same; and share with the MyGov family!

Button dabao, kahani suno aur sunao!

Instructions to upload film:

I am actually participating in a campaign of सुरक्षित दादा दादी नाना नानी अभियान, in which we Pitamah Foundation employees along with our 41000 volunteers are calling senior citizens on daily basis. To know their feelings, to aware them about Corona and to just be with them in this crucial time. Loved your concept of making video.

My grandmother, Late Karunamoyi Pal used to feed local swans and cows, those who used to visit at routine basis infront of our house. If the food were not given to swans, they used to bite my legs at childhood. My grandfather, Late Monimohan Pal used to feed small birds, those who used to make nests in the ventilator of rooms.Whenever, big birds used to attack those small birds, my grandfather used to keep 'goolti' to prevent their disturbance. I, still remember those days and those sweet memories

I am 69 years of age and am grandfather of 4 lovely grandchildren. They all love my wife and me much more than our expectations. This is what grandparents wish for. About my grandparents, I remember my grandfather, but not grandmother. We were calling our grandfather ad भाई जी, why we never asked our parents. We were loving him very much and he too. He was always telling us about his visits to China for trade of wheat etc. His passport of that time is still in the possession of my younger bro.

I am a person who is skeptical and there was a person who always tried to make me out of that and the person was my My grand pa . He was a farmer . At early age his father lost his vision and all the responsibility came to his shoulders and then he took the incharge . He gives good education to his siblings but he never went to school. He always said this . Try to learn & understand something new on daily basis. Be the leader by educating yourself . Grow old by ur knowledge not by ur age :)

dear sir, My paternal grandfather was a great person who had great vision .and paternal grandmother was a beautiful lady with human touch, very passionate and loving.I was not fortunate to spend time with maternal grandfather.he passed away when I was 4 years.Maternal grandma was very simple lady with great passion to help others and supported many families. My mother is from a big family..but everyone was so fond of my grandma .we are missing many values and ethics in our generation.
