There must be tremendous changes in education system by giving more importance to practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge to develop skills in students.

I greet everyone here. Keeping increasing pollution in mind I request every Indian to do exercise physically to cope with this situation. And eat vegetables in greater manner than non-vegetables. Be healthy, be smart.

Regular teacher's training should be made compulsory. Teacher evaluation is a must annually. Teacher's increments, promotions and salaries should be linked to three level evaluation, they should be based on a weighted average of a) Central Govt. conducted skill exam, b) State Govt. conducted skill exam c) Student feedback. Government schools should be made so good that parents(especially the urban parents) should be forced to send the children to government schools only.

Objective of Primary education should be to develop speaking, reading and writing skills only, These skills should be developed extensively. Application of speaking, reading and writing should be used, like making the children well versed in singing, poetry, story telling, drama, acting, drawing, painting, craft etc. should be the focus areas. physical activities involving children in gardening and sports should be encouraged a lot. Science and maths should be taught practically.

Effective regulation goes hand in hand with addressing issues of corruption. We have seen that in the case of Medical council of India. Maybe this govt is cracking down on corruption but their efforts are not visible to the citizenry at large. The effort to root out corruption has to be more in your face like those of AAP

Entrance examination was meant to select deserving candidates to study science and medicine but it is not very effective method. As many students are trained to appear and pass the examination so the students who are naturally talented are not able to come forward.I personally recommend to eliminated this entrance examination and select students who perform great in science subjects in schools and have an exam and a face to face interview to select deserving candidates.
