Manual scavengers are largely illiterate and have no exposure or aptitude for doing business or taking up self employment ventures.  This makes their rehabilitation in alternative occupations very challenging.

\

What are the ways in which the manual scavengers can be gainfully employed in other occupations, so that they do not return to manual scavenging? Participants may share success stories that they may be aware of.

***IDEA***...If I talk about metro cities like mumbai...lots of people live on roadside. My idea is to create shelters under all the over bridges. Area under the bridges have big enough to make nice shelters with Toilet directly connected with Savage. By this we can help those poor people and also this will made city look much better. Also accidents can be avoided. Every night Police should petrol such a shelters to see if they are not misused.

Respected prime minister.Sir I would like to bring in your notice that almost everyday we find photos of our God and Goddesses in the newspaper which are a kind of disrespect of our religion and our beliefs. After few days these newspapers are used for various purposes such as making paperbacks or napkins etc. This is a serious offence as it hurts the religious feelings of the community. So I request you that these all things should be banned and fine should be imposed on the ones found to do so.

This is w.r.t, the policing of traffic in our country. Let the manual parchi system for penalising bikers and motorists be abolished. Let them hold a automatic hand held device connected to central server, this will curtail the menace of pocketing the undertable money given to police for doing away with severity of punishment. This will also help protect the enviornment besides instilling a sense of accountability in the officials.

http://www.tarunbharat.com/?p=152197 Modiji you congratulated KArnataka Goverment for changing the name of the cities. there is one city in renamed cities which belongs to Marathi people. People does not want to change the name of the city because it has history and respect of Marathi people. there 10+lacks people who live in karnatak-maharashtra border who are getting ruptured by every day by Karnataka police. And now if you see the posted link. Police are removing Hindu's flag from the homes.

Govt. makes some facilities available to the people, including toilets and washrooms in rural and urban India. But people dont use them properly or even make it more dirty so others cant use the facilities. People demand a lot but they dont fulfill their part of the deal. So govt. must try to awaken the people of the need of their cooperation in all affairs of the public life including security. People need to be vigillant and helpful to the police etc. Govt.cant succeed otherwise.

Investment to output ratio on sanitation and environment may workout to 5000%.INDIA can lead the world if the grey/brown revolutions on the lines of green/white/blue revolutions are made a success story. 60% of our development expenditure is on construction and it is the greatest destroyer of the environment coupled with open defecation. Outcome of investment will improve common mans prosperity and development ,which is being held hostage due to faulty planning
