In order to equip them to look after their needs, it is necessary to impart skills to them. Most of them are unskilled and this makes their rehabilitation in alternative occupations very challenging.

What are the ways in which beggars/ destitutes can be skilled and gainfully employed so that they do not return to begging?

Participants may share success stories, as they may be aware of.

Last date for sending your suggestions is 18th November, 2014.

Beggars have to rehabilitated in a holistic and long term manner. Moving them to rehabilitation centres is not enough. They have to be provided skills. Their children should be education along with engagement in sports. Sports can play an important role in rehabilitation of children forced into beggary. Incentives should provided for rehabilitated people on merit basis. As in those who take up skills and are willing to making a living should be provide support from government in setting up work.

"identifying some small works" beggers can do, as most of the beggers are physically handicapped. We can give training and appoint them in schools, renowned temples to maintain them clean. Through NGO's , first we should provide them food, clothes and counsel them. afte that we should show them some work where they can do that work just to earn for their food and clothing. Some CHILD beggers are forced to do begging under some cruel persons. Take help of NGO's, RK math to tackle them.

recently I posted a comment under the swacch bharat abhiyan. I had suggested that, each corporator of a municipal corp shud be awarded points on the basis of basic amenities in their areas by open ballots distributed to each society in thier respective ward. The housing society will secretly award grades and post their comments in the ballot, which shud form the basis of awarding grades to the corporator. These grades shud be linked to his devlopment funds so that he uses max funds for the area

I want to delete one group and join sansad adarsh gram yojana. Now this comment is for SAGY group.Every sansad should identify five most backward village in his constituency, five developed villages , provide minimum facilities like water, electricity, health and sanitation in backward five.Locals be asked to bring in changes. Award prizes to best villages in 543 constituencies, then select top 29 for states.Publish them in An national IDEA MAGAZINE.All villages would .aspire to be national best.

beggars should be rehabilitated in border/remote areas so that these people could help in civil work.a temporary school should be managed to look after/schooling of their children.by this way development of these areas would cost less and beggars would start to work instead of begging.
