In order to equip them to look after their needs, it is necessary to impart skills to them. Most of them are unskilled and this makes their rehabilitation in alternative occupations very challenging.

What are the ways in which beggars/ destitutes can be skilled and gainfully employed so that they do not return to begging?

Participants may share success stories, as they may be aware of.

Last date for sending your suggestions is 18th November, 2014.

contd... Even if a person is staring at someone for no reason then it is a punishable offence.Awfully,In India we worship women as goddess and rape is not even considered as serious crime!!! PROPOSAL :Crime like rape when person caught red handed or in open-and-shut case why it cannot be punished within months time with serious charges?(certainly not imprisonment!! for killing a person mentally and for torching physically).

Dear sir, In India, we have enormous number of beggars from all type of aged. So, all the children should be put in Govt. school for study. The remaining adults are put for agricultural, company, industry, educational institutional, coffee shop, T shop etc. based on their interest. Because all the above mentioned field they need persons to work especially for agriculture there is no workers from village all of them went to city to do white collar job. First we should teach them.

building pukka homes for everyone is an expensive matter,it might be feasible to use tents, designated areas outside of cities can be used to house pitch thousands of such tents, NGOs will find it easier to conduct aid & training workshops, skills such as farming, sculpting (to create ashtrays, beads, cultural items) can be taught to a very large audience as they would be concentrated. we have extremely large borders on both sides, tent zones can be created to decrease infiltration & bordercross

1) Home for beggars (both by govt./private sector) as much as we can have 2) Incentive/support for those, who bring a child beggar to these homes 3) Social Cess/Tax (local) for running these homes 4) Identity card for them to strengthen them 4) National/Sate/District/Block/Panchayat/Thana/Village level database for publication 5) Wide publicity for their return/adoption/rehabilitation 6) Strong punishment for culprits 7) Strong incentive for skill program for their employment & rehabilitation

Fiscal discipline is the key to real development. To achieve this goal, the latest software and training is required. ITSHREE (iTS) is dedicated to this cause and is looking forward to participate in Surajya by implementing its gaming changing Project Finance Management System. Jaswinder Singh Bhatia

At nodal villages and nodal centres of town rehabilitation centres be formed and people who are compassion about beggars can donate to that centre and they can regularly provide food to needy and they can also counselled by NGO's why they opted begging as profession and take remedial action what ever needed so that they should not opt it again. There are many people who are kind enough don't have time and opportunity to attend the needs of starving people. Govt may seek their participation

The beggars can be put in a short stay home and craft work or skilled labour can be provided to them according to their competency or ability to learn. But unless we take strict action against it we cannot abolish it. Because there are rackets involved, and it is easy money. So first thing is punishment. Then we can counsel. We should try and bring dignity about themselves. Then train them for future. Let them into real world.
