Jaipur Municipal Corporation has received overwhelming response from its citizen in smart city suggestions and ideas to improve their city under Smart City Challenge.

As part of citizen engagement & consultation process (for preparation of Smart City Proposal) Jaipur Municipal Corporation organized a wide range of activities - e.g. Ward level consultations, Stakeholders Consultations, Blog writing competition, Logo making competition etc starting from 1stOct 2015 to 30th Nov 2015. Apart from this, other social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, Nagar nigam Website, Smart City Website) used to reach citizens.

Citizen interactions, expert opinions, and deliberations by departments have all contributed to developing this Smart City Proposal. Before the proposal is submitted to MoUD for its kind consideration, all citizens of the city are invited to give their feedback on the proposal developed.

1). Wi-fi internet connection in all major Commercial Areas, Jaipur Metro. 2). Convert "Zone C" Byepass as Western Peripheral Ring Highway with Interchanges near Sikar Rail Line, Khirni Phatak as soon as possible. 3). Bring water from Chambal/Yamuna River in next 5 years as we need at least additional 10,00,00,000 liters/day in year 2021. 4). Capacity building program for all the govt. official to work on computers. 5). Join Niwaru road to Dher Ka Balaji railway station through underpass

there should be some attraction for tourist in the evening after 9 pm 1. resturent and chat bazar should allow to open till late 1 am so people can hang out till late 2 chat bazar in ramniwas garden like in earlier days 3 dustben must be there with all the chat wala as cleaniness is very important 4 havey penelty on horn as there is so much of noice poullution in jaipur

The first principle in this is to accept that we have to renew what already exists. Take water, for example. Our cities have been built to optimise on the available resources. They were smart in building lakes and ponds to harvest every drop of rain.

Suggestion for smart city. I think for any smart city the for most priority for any smart city without local citizen participation and involvment it will never be ful filled by any Govement or any oragnization either private of public.

If any problem in any ward area, like this...damage road, fuse road light, civer jam etc. Must be short out in limited period . Mostly people say that Nigam does not solve the common problem. So we will change this mentality. When problems short out in 24 hour, one week...than become our city smart city.
