Jaipur Municipal Corporation has received overwhelming response from its citizen in smart city suggestions and ideas to improve their city under Smart City Challenge.

As part of citizen engagement & consultation process (for preparation of Smart City Proposal) Jaipur Municipal Corporation organized a wide range of activities - e.g. Ward level consultations, Stakeholders Consultations, Blog writing competition, Logo making competition etc starting from 1stOct 2015 to 30th Nov 2015. Apart from this, other social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, Nagar nigam Website, Smart City Website) used to reach citizens.

Citizen interactions, expert opinions, and deliberations by departments have all contributed to developing this Smart City Proposal. Before the proposal is submitted to MoUD for its kind consideration, all citizens of the city are invited to give their feedback on the proposal developed.

The first principle in this is to accept that we have to renew what already exists. Take water, for example. Our cities have been built to optimise on the available resources. They were smart in building lakes and ponds to harvest every drop of rain.

Try to change the image of govt departments so as to piblic can visit those departments in a way that their work will be done in right n easy manner, may be a kind of single window service. Smart city is one where smart people are there to serve there.

The following are the primary needs for smart city :- (1)Civic Sense (2)Traffic Sense (3)Parking Sense The above can not be achieved without genuine Political will, courage of conviction, integrity and education of public.

बड़े भार वाहनों पर शहर में आने पर प्रतिबन्ध लगाया जाय। पशुओं पर शहर में रोक लगे। divider के जगह जगह कट बंद हों।
