Section 147 of Railway act prescribes that:- ...

Section 147 of Railway act prescribes that:-

1. If any person enters upon or into any part of a railway without lawful authority he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may be extended to six months or with a fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or with both.

Provided that in the absence of special and adequate reasons to the contrary to be mentioned in the judgment of the court, such punishment shall not be less than a fine of five hundred rupees.

2. Any person referred to in sub-section(1) may be removed from the railway by any railway servant or by any other person whom such railway servant may call to his aid.

However, over Indian Railways, especially over suburban sections deaths occur due to trespassing.

Suggest solutions for reducing trespassing of Railway tracks.

Law in India is not as tough as western countries based on My personal experience as I have stayed in USA for about 4+ years. Coming to this issue of preventing deaths due to trespassing, bring harder laws, Fine them if found guilty, Also fencing along the track will be a good idea, Build walls beside the track at least for 500 meter length to both the ends of railway station.

DUE TO NITIN GADKARI COMMITMENT OF ONLINE NATIONAL PERMIT,IN RTO OFFICE AGENT WENT ON STRIKE.WE HAD DO PASSING ON OUR OWN.IT WAS SO SIMPLE.OFFICIAL GOVT RCP WAS 500/- WE HAD TO PAY AGENT 1200 FOR PASSING 12 WHEEL TRUCK.PLS SOON MAKE ONLINE TAX PAYMENT OF MAHARASHTRA TAX,TOLL TO SAVE TIME.WE GO TO THANE IN FOUR HRS.IF YOU MAKE DIFF ARRANGEMENT FOR TOLL PAYMENT WE WOULD REACH 4O TO 5O MINUTES EARLIER AS FIVE TOLLS TAKES 10/15 MINUTES WAITING TIME PER TOLL.BY CAR.

If we have to boost our services n make true the saying SABKA SATH SABKA VIKAS, our 1st priority would be to double all the railway tracks, as the no. of trains r increasing in every budget bt tracks r already less. Then make all route electrify. This will automatically increase the railway speed n time of all the countrymen, they will be benefited n happy. I urges PM n Sh. Suresh Prabhu to consider this idea.

We all know that the railways is one of the major links that joins the whole nation into one but it's that department also which bears harrasement most of the times . it is just because many of us travel without tickets and this happens because ticket checkers are not serious nd even the common mass thinks of saving money, no one even take the efforts for buying platform tickets . if there would have been automated ticket checking machine at the entry like the metros then railways would p
