 Section 147 of Railway act prescribes that:-

1. If any person enters upon or into any part of a railway without lawful authority he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may be extended to six months or with a fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or with both.

Provided that in the absence of special and adequate reasons to the contrary to be mentioned in the judgment of the court, such punishment shall not be less than a fine of five hundred rupees.

2. Any person referred to in sub-section(1) may be removed from the railway by any railway servant or by any other person whom such railway servant may call to his aid.

However, over Indian Railways, especially over suburban sections deaths occur due to trespassing.

Suggest solutions for reducing trespassing of Railway tracks.

giving modifications to the ideas of earlier post we hve to first identify the unmanned crossings, then rather installing sirens we can use bright blinking lights that do so if train is within 1 km range. also the LEDS can be used to save costs and energy. Furthers some steps can be taken to fill the treasury to convert the unmanned to guarded ones. here are some suggestions 1. use the great available surface area for advertisement. It will decrease cost of paints and also fetch money

Sir, Good morning. can we install cctv in railway coaches ? This will also help the ground staff to monitor safety in the coaches as well as help detection of extra passengers travelling in reserved coaches.

Key Point: Railway can collect 100000 Lac Crore If Railway ask to invest each Indian at least Rs.1000-/ for 2 year .then no one going to ignore this amount for development.easily more that 1 lac crore can be collected .for Bullet train & Semi bullet train .

Sirens with sensors can be installed on the poles on railway tracks. Sensors will detect a train, and will start when any train is in the 1 Km range. Although the demerits of this proposal is high cost, as a siren would b reqd. within every km. and second demerit is that many trains pass through the tracks, sirens may cause noise pollution. but still if anyone or the govt. finds it good, they can suggest modifications...
