Section 147 of Railway act prescribes that:-

1. If any person enters upon or into any part of a railway without lawful authority he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may be extended to six months or with a fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or with both.

Provided that in the absence of special and adequate reasons to the contrary to be mentioned in the judgment of the court, such punishment shall not be less than a fine of five hundred rupees.

2. Any person referred to in sub-section(1) may be removed from the railway by any railway servant or by any other person whom such railway servant may call to his aid.

However, over Indian Railways, especially over suburban sections deaths occur due to trespassing.

Suggest solutions for reducing trespassing of Railway tracks.

Sir, There are some people who say that rape is done due to the dress style, then I am asking why is a 3 year kid is being raped is it because of the dress style of that child, everyday we hear about rape its because every criminal knows that they will not be punished if once they are hanged this crime will not happen as in Saudi & other countries, rape is a crime where the criminal is killing the girl & her family mentally, so why they are not punished,Sir pls bring rules to hang such criminals

Sir, In Germany have heard that if we waste food they fine even if we buy food in a hotel & if food is wasted they fine & the reason is they say even if we pay for food but the resource of that food comes from the society, our land, country, its a good thing we should buy only what we can eat even in party's, marriages we should not waste there are lots of people who don't have food for even one time. So in India also we should have that rule there is lot of food wastage done in party's etc

It is a problem of mindset, people have come to a point where their five minutes are more important than their lives. Nothing can be done, unless railways stop giving compensation for the deceased.

We can develop a cheap and effective sensing system which can be based on the same technique used by Bats / Submarines. These sensors can be placed at the front of train and can be used to track any material on the track at the height of 0.5-1 meter and within the range of 5-10 meters. In case, if sensors receive the wave back then emergency brakes could be applied. This technology can avoid not only unmanned crossing accident but also train accidents. Sensor range can vary with the train speed.

Pondicherry twon is connected to Villupuram junction through electric broad gauge railway line but number of trains running on this line is very low. However number of buses that connect to villupuram are once in 5 min 24x 7. There is enormous potential to increase trains on this line. I suggest Railways to introduce intercity express trains once in 30 min to optimally utilize the line and also connect to major trains that pass through Villupuram junction.
