Urgent need to concentrate on timeliness. Train and station cleanliness is hard to implement as long as trains are frequently running late. Since trains' schedule is not fixed, people spend long hours on railway stations and keep littering around. Time-table is just meant to measure delays and not meant to be followed at Allahabad, Kanpur, Delhi. To exemplify, Old Delhi station is full of garbage, while the adjoining Metro Stations is clean

We face many problems with facilities at railways stations. Sleeper class is considered as higher class and when we go to the waiting room, it is all messed up there. Can you please get the situation of New delhi railway station checked up?
If sleeper class (being non AC) passengers are clubbed with 2nd class, AC waiting room would be vacated to AC passengers.
Please do look into this.

Human brain stops working instantaneously, after seeing a conformed danger on his life & suddenly he cannot take a decision. When a fast moving train appears in his front, if he is on the rails, the reaction time to take a decision is more than train speed. This is applicable to both trespassers as well as drivers crossing UMLC. Yesterday there was a car accident in an UMLC where only 2 trains runs in 24 hours. The actual term for delay in brain functioning may well-described by a doctor.

Strict enforcement of law should take place, should be punishable with higher fine.
-every station should have escalators
-even carrying Gutkha tobacco & chewing should not b allowed
-restricted entry should be managed
-platform tickets should be more easily available, more separate window or may be attached with inquiry counter.
-more sitting arrangement should be made on platforms, so that even men can also ocuupy a sit along with ladies , afterall men are also human being, they get tire

People should be on plate form when train announced at arrival stage.aroun 15 -20 mnts before.
1- multi story waiting rooms for each trains
2- escalator for luggage and it sholud be booked like airport
3-no permanent job.
4-no of stations should be high in one city on same rout not big it should be small sataitions 2-3 platforms and different trains on different station so no jam on rout and speed will improve on routs .

In addition to my last post there should also be an enforcement of law. I have seen Mumbai and Kolkata where the law keepers themselves cross tracks on foot. If this is the attitude than we can't accept the common people to honor the law.
Proper enforcement of the written law will definitely bring down accidents due to trespassing.

IR should provide adequate infrastructure at all Railway stations so that people can use them. If every station has 3 over bridges, 2 at each ends and one in the middle . the bluseprint of every station design should accommodate this . Then people will use them and that will lead to less deaths. I have seen many stations in India which does not have adequate OB forcing the commuters to cross tracks. This is trues even in the Mumbai metropolitan region.
