One of the main reason Indian railways going in loss is because of excess staff in workshops, and most of the work is outsourced n hence the workshop staff do not have any work. Governments too known this fact but r afraid of taking action for their political reasons.

VANDE MARATAM!!! NOW A DAYS TRAINS ARRIVAL & DEPARTURES ARE ON ALMOST NOT ON TIME .....RAILWAY SHOULD INTRODUCE A SYTEM IN WHICH IF THE TRAIN ARE RUNNING LATE ...THEN THEY SHOULD IMPOSE A FINE ON TRAIN DRIVER ...IF IT'S DRIVER MISTAKE IF IT'S DUE TO NON AVAILABILITY OF SINGAL ..THEN THE FINE SHOULD BE TO TRAIN WHICH IS COMING LATE... THERE IS SHOULD BE RULE FOR TRAINS RUNNING LATE ...DUE THE NON RESPONSBILITY OF THE RAILWAY DEPT.

Platforms also have sloping floor without gates at the ends which allows people to exit the platform ends with no restriction. I strongly believe that proper fencing or compound wall around station land and closing platform ends will stop people trespassing near stations. This fencing or compound walls should be inspected regularly and strictly.

Obviously people cross train tracks because they find it very convenient and time saving (in their hectic schedule, they ignore safety issues). Now, if there is a proper fencing till at least 0.5 km on both the ends of station, they will not be able to come out of station or compound of station through crossing tracks and will stop doing so.

Trespassing occurs because people tend to cross train station from one side of the to the opposite side through the gaps in fencing or compound wall of the station or at the end of station. If those gaps in the fencing or compound walls are filled, they will not find any reason to cross the train tracks. So, i think ensuring that all the sides of a station are properly fenced will discourage people crossing tracks.

{Contd},3. The devotees who arrived during night hours were taking rest at the waiting hall to pick up the trains. 4. There was no railway staff deployed at the waiting hall. However, RPF personnel has been instructed to take legal action against persons causing inconvenience to the bonafide passengers in Waiting halls on the basis of the written complaint. For kind information. The grievance cell did not ask the dept what action has been taken to enforce rules for passenger convenience.
