The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has been mandated by the TRAI Act, 1997 to regulate the tariffs offered by the Telecom Service Provider for its various services. The telecommunications sector in India has witnessed several changes in the past few years in terms of the tariff offerings of various telecom service providers. This has not only resulted in an exponential increase in the use of telecom services but has also resulted in the tariffs of telecom services in India being amongst the lowest in the world.

In the last few months, many concerns have been raised about the health of the Indian telecom sector and the need to fix a floor price for telecom services. TRAI has so far observed a policy of forbearance in respect of telecom tariffs for valid reasons. It gives the service providers the freedom and flexibility to design their tariff offerings as per the demands of the market. It gives free play to the forces of healthy competition and has resulted in an exponential growth in the Indian telecom sector in the past two decades. Most economists also advise against market interventions by the regulator in tariff fixation.

However, ensuring the provision of ever-increasing data consumption and a good Quality of Service requires a lot of investment in maintaining and improving telecom infrastructure. Fast pace of technological changes in the sector require huge capital investments. Telecom sector is the infrastructure provider for many other sectors of the economy. Thus, making sure that the telecom sector remains healthy and its orderly growth are equally important.

Considering this aspect, a consultation paper on “Tariff Issues of Telecom Services” has been issued on 17th December, 2019 to invite comments from all the stakeholders, on various issues relating to tariff in telecom sector.

The consultation paper on “Tariff Issues of Telecom Services” has been uploaded on TRAI’s website (www.trai.gov.in). The written comments on the issues raised in the consultation paper are invited from the stakeholders by 17th January, 2020 and counter-comments by 31st January, 2020.

मा. प्रधानमंत्री जी ट्राई को अगर आप सशक्त बनाना हैं तो कुछ अहम फैसले लेने होंगे नही तो कुछ ही समय में हमारी देश की सबसे बड़ी कंपनी BSNL दम तोड़ कर प्राइवेट हाथों की कठपुतली बन जाएगी जो हमारे और हमारे देश के लिए शर्म की बात है। हमें फिर से BSNL को उठाने के लिए अहम कार्य जैसे नई नियुक्तियां फिक्स्ड सेलेरी इन्कम जो 12 से 20 हजार रुपये मासिक 5 वर्ष के लिए और अच्छा कार्य करने पर 20%की वृद्धि पर फिर 5 वर्ष इस प्रकार ना सिर्फ BSNL बल्कि हर सरकारी नियुक्ती इसी तर्ज पर हो जिस से नए रोज़गार उपलब्ध होंगे।

ट्राई को इस बात पर ध्यान देना चाहिए की टेलीकाम कम्पनियों ने पहले सिम देते समय कहा था कि इनकमिंग लाइफ टाइम फ्री रहेगी. लेकीन ये कम्पनियाँ अभी बंद नहीं हुईं और इनकमिंग कॉल कैसे बंद हो गया. यही सब कुछ है.

जब तक सरकारी दूरसंचार को ठीक और सस्ता नहीं किया जायेगा तब तक आम जनता को प्रायवेट कंपनी लुटती रहेगी

Incumbent Telcos have cheated consumers , without prior intimation/notification , removed plans like 99 and 149 for post paid. Also they removed option to downgrade the plan , example from 399 to 349.They are pushing higher plans like 499, once a consumer moved to higher , the option of coming back to lower is abandoned. Their customer care staff has poor knowledge and they provide misleading information without having updates. Their higher officials , just say sorry , despite calls are recorded

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India ( TRAI) should fix a floor price for voice and data services on telecom networks in such a way that all consumers will be benefited in all ways. Deposits at time of registration, non reimbursiblefeefor initial connection, bi monthly rentals and other issues should be properly decided.

IF WE WANT TO INCREASE THE PRODUCTIVITY OF MANPOWER, NEED MAXIMIZE THE UTILIZATION OF TIME AND FOR BETTERMENT OF OUR ECONOMY WE MUST TO INCRESSE THE PRISES/RATES OF CALL CHARGES AS WELL AS DATA CHARGES. INCOMING AND OUTGOING BOTH MUST BE CHARGEABLE. LOTS OF POEPLE ARE WESTING MILLIONS OF HOURS. UPCOMING GENERATION HAS NO TIME FOR NEW THINKING.

rate of internat service are extremely high, when jio is launching its free services a helper every Indians to join hands and technology for their growth it have so many students to study online but now its high prices make it difficult for middle class people.government should make efforts to provide cheap and final network to public so that Indians can stand alongthe world.

Mere vichar se a Aam Janata ko incoming call ki Suvidha Muft Milte Rahana chahie . vartman mein telecom company ne pratyek mahine ka recharge anivarya kar diya hai joki Garib Janata ke liye bilkul bhi Anukul Nahin Hai . Telecom companiyan Chahe to Apne outgoing ke shulk Bada kar is ghate ki purti kar sakti hain Magar Garib varg Ke Logon Ko incoming call ki Suvidha muft milati Rahni chahie

सभी मोबाइल कंपनियां दावा करती हैं कि वे 4 जी कनेक्टिविटी दे रही हैं, लेकिन यह जांचने के लिए कोई उपाय नहीं है कि उपकरणों में क्या गति आ रही है। तो हर यूजर 4 जी का प्लान खरीद रहा है लेकिन 2 जी, 3 जी की स्पीड पा रहा है। प्रति माह औसत गति को ट्रैक करने का प्रावधान होना चाहिए ताकि अगर मेरा दूरसंचार ऑपरेटर मुझे वादा गति नहीं दे रहा है तो हम धनवापसी का दावा कर सकते हैं। साथ ही हर टेलीकॉम ऑपरेटर को अवधि और डेटा दोनों के लिए अनुकूलित योजनाएं उपलब्ध करानी चाहिए।

And this is most popular telecom service in Hindustan. if we calling from BSNL to any other NETWORK it's good for voice but not Internet. I hope they reduce the price and give the good SERVICE It will help to all customers like middle and poor.. people..
