Dear Modiji, I am very thankful as our government is providing few medicines in low cost calling them as essential. But, I doubt what’s the exact meaning of this “essential” is. Every medicine is definitely essential for the man kind. We can’t predict what and when the danger may happen. It may be minor or major. Thus a medicine is definitely the essential thing as we can’t divide only few as essential based on the criteria Let me be straight in the following issues, not only me many may have

medical colleges should be given more responsibilities of public health as their duty/ requisite- govt or private.and student selection is on merit then care delivery by them of better quality. because they value their hard earned seat.all the new colleges should be evenly distributed. not 3colleges in 5 km in area of 8 lac population .

what ever it is too much spoon feeding is not good. no pain no gain. one should know its value. merit should prevail.needy should identified with out any bias. every one should have identity/ aadhar should be used.at once digitising is not possible.over enthusiastic attempt may deprive the needy poor.

We need to remove at least reservation for admission in medical field as treating human lives do not see that it was treated with this logo. The proof is most of the people are getting their surgeries from know doctors but not based on such reservation. This removal step can lead to Medical Sciences Nobel Price.

Like Soil Health Card,Family Health Cards should be issued for BPL families, likely to be more prone to infectious diseases due to lack of awareness & cleanliness, stating the current status of health of all the members and remarked if suffering with any chronic disease.

A record of family health details should also be kept similar to as in Life Insurance Companies stating the status of health(Good or Bad) of family members alive & Age when died,to enable to better assessment of their health needs.

This is a brilliant initiative. Being a regular blood donor myself, I would suggest that this should include a national database for Blood types, Bone-marrow registry and organ donation registry. That could save millions of lives. Thanks, Prachi Mittal
