There is an urgent need for introducing the Prescription event monitoring system in India, and make it mandatory for every hospital all over India. since, as a clinical pharmacist making studies on health technology development and pharmacotherapeutic monitoring, I identified many prescription which are irrational to the the patient. Physicians in in India enjoy a wide freedom of prescribing than can`t be questioned but, it require careful monitoring for safety and efficacy.

Their is a proverb known as Health is Wealth so by Internet the e-Health Authority can spread different Health care programes.

1. A strong initiative on standards around how the data should be stored, retrieved securely and privately. 2. National Health Exchange where all patient data/history can be stored and retrieved on consent. 3. Laws around use of technology for patient's health management like SMS, App and web etc 4. Allowing health related text messaging under exemptions for lower cost and use of transaction route. 5. Strong reinforcement of MCI guidelines on record keeping (paper or electronic).

A Electronic Medical Record should be created for each patient by central organization like NIC and it should be linked to the adhar card and bank account for each patient. The database should be sharable accross all government hospitals.

hugh potential on E- Health - In my thought in govt hospitals all things should be changed into e soultions. Paitent's details should be on server like medical history & personal details. Unique no alloted to paitent and same will reflect to doc's laptop/computer once paitent enters into the doc's cabin, this will help Doc's with all medicines paitent had in past and what is suitable medicine with several subsititutes also this will lower the risk of side effects of medicines.

There is vast potential for use of e-Health in rural areas not only for patients but also to get accurate health information across to the Anganwadi workers and ASHAs by use of the mobile phone. This aspect must be included. Secondly the governance must include an IT expert.

The concept note looks good on paper, but past experience with good concept like JanAushadhi dying a slow death we are sckeptical to believe by when and how NeHA will come into existence if at all. There are no deadlines on concept paper, without that it is does not make sense.
