Digital Locker is one of the key initiatives under the Digital India Programme. A beta version (http://digitallocker.gov.in) of the same has been released on 10th Feb. 2015, by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt. of India.

Digital Locker is aimed at minimizing the usage of physical documents and enable sharing of e-documents across agencies. The sharing of the e-documents will be done through registered repositories thereby ensuring the authenticity of the documents online. Residents can also upload their own electronic documents and digitally sign them using the e-sign facility. These digitally signed documents can be shared with Government organizations or other entities.

Key features of the Digital Locker System are:

• 10 MB of free space in digital locker to residents to access their documents through Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) and also securely store e-documents.
• e-sign online service to digitally sign documents

Residents are invited to use the Beta version of the Digital Locker System and provide suggestions and feedback on the same. Suggestions are also invited on the use cases for services which can be additionally provided by the Digital Locker System.

Gov should have agenda how to make people happy now not after 30 or 40 years. Wherever you see there is chance for expansion. Gov should expand like railway near platform civilization are formed. If you keep money and dont create more and more platform than people will not move and india will not develope. Invest everything and you see people will give more profit which you have invested

Digital Locker System is good initiative of Indian Government. I would like to suggest few improvements in it: Currently, we can keep documents only to avoid physical document movements, adding to this, we can create one generalised form which will keep all basic details of citizen containing passport no, Pan Card Number, Adhar card no, Address etc. and which should be highly secured and confidential. This will be helpful for college admission, Employment etc.

We are talking about digital india, but do we have any plan for road safety?. In india number of people die in road accident is higher than in railway accident. Can you please introduce some apps where one can send a picture of traffic offenders as it is not possible/practical to install cctv in every corner.

APDRP and RAPDRP power reforms need more sensitivity also GOVT also work in Vertical architecture where All Data centres should connect through Fibre based network and provide info to Centralize R&A wing which help them to produce , Maintain, and Develop Power strategy as we are mostly dependent on Coal based production and this is in limited quantity - Govt has to set up MPV for PPP to capture the real requirement and usage to avoid Supply demand gap

To reduce city traffic all public transport including taxi, auto, buses etc. are centralized with some bodies, unions, social groups using on call service, so that no empty vehicle run, passenger will get transport quickly, no need to user individual personal vehicle. It will provide best utilization of assets. Public busses can be rescheduled, rerouted as per passenger load to maximize profit. booking and tracking done using mobile devices.
