Digital Locker is one of the key initiatives under the Digital India Programme. A beta version (http://digitallocker.gov.in) of the same has been released on 10th Feb. 2015, by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt. of India.

Digital Locker is aimed at minimizing the usage of physical documents and enable sharing of e-documents across agencies. The sharing of the e-documents will be done through registered repositories thereby ensuring the authenticity of the documents online. Residents can also upload their own electronic documents and digitally sign them using the e-sign facility. These digitally signed documents can be shared with Government organizations or other entities.

Key features of the Digital Locker System are:

• 10 MB of free space in digital locker to residents to access their documents through Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) and also securely store e-documents.
• e-sign online service to digitally sign documents

Residents are invited to use the Beta version of the Digital Locker System and provide suggestions and feedback on the same. Suggestions are also invited on the use cases for services which can be additionally provided by the Digital Locker System.

If your Grievances system is not effective and timely responding in the DIGITAL INDIA then there is no sense of having it at the 1st place. I have applied for UID(Aadhar) quite a long back and haven't got it. I have filed an online complain twice but it haven't been resolved( at - help@uidai.gov.in) or even responded. There is no option to further esclate the issue. I don't know whom to approach further. Shouldn't there be a central authority where we can esclate such issues?

Few more suggestions for rail reservations: 1. CCTV in all general compartments so that without ticket passengers are less. 2. All TTEs are provided with tablet for checking tickets and making new tickets so all Data is updated real time. 2. No show passenger details are updated real time by using Tablet while checking tickets so that no show passenger are available at the next station after train leaves the previous station. This will reduce selling of tickets by TTE.

Dear Sir, To reduce middleman menace in train ticket buying please do following: linking IRCTC database with Adhar card so that passenger details are auto updated on screen, this is same as LPG subsidy or Provident fund claims. Make adhar card compulsory for ticket booking. Refund directly in Bank account linked with adhar card for cancelled tickets. While travelling Passenger can show any ID proof similar to while voting in elections. This will reduce lot of dummy bookings done by Touts.

Allow permit to any Indian or foreigner or companies or states to buy trains and run our rails with permit. Then govt. can get fee for permit and 20% of total collections.

Every body looking for new trains but Suresh Prabhu not announced any new train then tried to make safety to trains and passengers this is the first things in railway the minister want take care . Most foolish former railway ministers made many blunder he didn't follow it and then tried to develop the base needs of Railway. If we have a strong base then any one can run Trains on the rails because we need a safety rails all over India then allow to run any one with these trains.
