The Prime Minister shared a visionary approach to transform the development journey of our villages in the form of the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. The initiative calls upon MPs to select a village in their constituency and make it a Model Village by 2016. Furthermore, the number of model villages should increase as time progresses so that in a decade a large number of villages become Model Villages across India.

The rationale behind a landmark idea such as this is clear- India lives in the villages and India will only progress when our villages progress. Development of villages can happen best when everybody walks shoulder to shoulder and contributes towards the comprehensive development of the village. And who better than the local Members of Parliament to drive this change!

This specially created forum on MyGov invites out of the box ideas on how the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana can become the driving force in bringing a qualitative difference in our villages. Lets make the development of our villages a grand mass movement and together create a golden future for rural India.

Indian villages are rich in biomaterial and bio-waste plus sunlight. Use that as a TOOL for DECENTRALIZATION. HOW:----- -------It is expensive to lay down and maintain lines for power, telephone,water-sewage pipes. So biogas plants and solar plants are essential sources of electric power, power for cellphone towers, recycling and local employment(installation/maintenance). No need for villagers to depend on cities for these sources. Panchayat's tablet computer via mobile towers for feedback.

After reading an article by John Pavlus on World Changing Ideas from (www.ScientificAmerican.com), I was wondering why not we utilize the hundreds of tons of garbage collected from cities by plasma gasification process to generate electricity, With the maturing of this technology, it is becoming more cost effective as the energy prices are going up. The gas produced through this process (called "syngas") can be used as a fuel in a turbine, create ethanol, biodiesel and construction slag

On seeing the flood impacts on Jammu Kashmir, Govt should start working to create an escape suit like balloons through DRDO. So we should develop balloon like structure which can support a family of four or single person. This should be strong enough for tears and should have small lights, GPS locators,O2 generator support for water, food, Medi. storage. In case of heavy flood these self inflated fully enclosed balloons are connected one by one with anchored ships, till water level turns normal.

in a city if m.l.a wants to make city beautiful it will never happen till nagarparishad exist. it is fact that now a parshad take 20% in every work of his area. this is reality. in my city our m.l.a donate rs10crore to nagarparishad for water harvasting and seavrage but notging happend all money wasted by nagarparishad .same like in village there is sarpanch and panch. this realty why we are so back. if this problem will sort out every city and every village will be aadarsh.

its great yojana when everyone hear. but we have a great problem that is election on low level like panchayat and nagarparishad there is much cruption. this yojana may lead to a new scam if sansad wont have full power to do work in that village. sansad will choose village and will make plan but for implement the plan saansad must have all power and work done by himself so it can reduce chance of cruption

Sir,The city of Mumbai is blessed with regular rainfall and most of the rain water goes down the drain and into the sea. There is no such thing as rain water harvesting there neither Mumbaites use ground water for anything nor even aware about its usage. They waste municipal water in flushing, washing and for building constn which can be done with ground water .Lakes Surplus water can be diverted to starving Vidharba region and avoid farmer suicides. Pl appoint a committee to analyse this.
