The Prime Minister shared a visionary approach to transform the development journey of our villages in the form of the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. The initiative calls upon MPs to select a village in their constituency and make it a Model Village by 2016. Furthermore, the number of model villages should increase as time progresses so that in a decade a large number of villages become Model Villages across India.

The rationale behind a landmark idea such as this is clear- India lives in the villages and India will only progress when our villages progress. Development of villages can happen best when everybody walks shoulder to shoulder and contributes towards the comprehensive development of the village. And who better than the local Members of Parliament to drive this change!

This specially created forum on MyGov invites out of the box ideas on how the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana can become the driving force in bringing a qualitative difference in our villages. Lets make the development of our villages a grand mass movement and together create a golden future for rural India.

Dear Sir Very disappointed with our disaster management readiness. Need to learn from countries like US/Japan/China. We are totally dependent on Army and NDRF teams but it cannot be done without empowering local groups. -Every State should have a policy and framework on Disaster Management -A disaster monitoring Cell in every district who should be fully equipped with all tech, -Monitoring, Warning procedure, identify relief areas, food supplies/medical and regular drills

IB MINISTRY,TO BECOME ACTIVE, PLEASE REVIVE CENSOR BOARD AND SEE NO CORRUPT OFFICIALS ARE THERE TO TAKE MONEY AND GIVE CERTIFICATIONS. IB MINISTRY HAS TO BE VERY STRICT ON VULGARITY SHOWN IN MOVIES & TV CHANNELS, COMPLETE INDEPENDENCE DOES'NT MEAN SHOWING VULGARITY. MOVIES/TV CHANNELS HAVE GREAT INFLUENCE ON CHILDREN. U CAN SEE LOT OF VULGARITY ON INTERNET SITES AND SOME SOCIAL MEDIA SITES ALSO. WHO WILL STOP THESE.

NAGAR NIGAM & MUNICIPALITY IS THE BIGGEST PLACE OF CORRUPTION, INEFFICIENCY AND ABSENTISM, BUT EMPLOYEES STILL GET FULL SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES WHILE POOR COMMON MAN CONTINUES TO SUFFER DUE TO LACK OF ANY FACILITIES. GOVT. HAS TO GEAR UP THESE AGENCIES IF THEY ARE TO COMPLETE WORK OF CLEANING ENTIRE COUNTRY, RIVERS AND PUBLIC PLACES.

GOVT. HAS NO PROPER LAW, PENALTY, PUNISHMENT FOR ADULTERATION AND ARTIFICIAL COLORING & RIPENING OF FOOD GRAINS, VEGETABLES, FRUITS, MILK, SWEETS USING CHEMICALS. CHEMICALS USED IN ARTIFICIAL RIPENING & COLORING ARE VERY DANGEROUS & CAN CAUSE DISESASE LIKE CANCER. FAKE MAWA USED IN SWEETS IS VERY COMMON DURING FESTVAL SEASON. FOOD INSPECTORS ARE NOT ACTIVE. ADULTERATION IN PETROL/DIESEL/LPG GAS HAS TO BE STOPPED

FIRST THING GOVT. SHOULD DO IS MAKE 500-1000 WAREHOUSES FOR FCI IN 500 TOWNS/VILLAGES FOR STORING FOOD GRAINS, EVERY YEAR WE SEE NEWS OF FOODGRAINS ROTTING IN OPEN DURING RAINY SEASON, BUT NO INITIATIVE FROM GOVT TO SAVE AND STORE FOODGRAINS PROPERLY.

govt. should focus on small , portable solar panel, solar cells for both rural & urban needs & devlop ups/ inverters/battteries running on solar energy. govt has to manufacture &susidize it for creating a small device where in every residence in the country could light up one CFL/LED BULB, ONE FAN FOR 12 HOURS for domestic house hold. This low cost device could be made by private companies/ PPP mode, but not chinese product. govt. has to take initiative on this project in view of energy crisis
