The Prime Minister shared a visionary approach to transform the development journey of our villages in the form of the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. The initiative calls upon MPs to select a village in their constituency and make it a Model Village by 2016. Furthermore, the number of model villages should increase as time progresses so that in a decade a large number of villages become Model Villages across India.

The rationale behind a landmark idea such as this is clear- India lives in the villages and India will only progress when our villages progress. Development of villages can happen best when everybody walks shoulder to shoulder and contributes towards the comprehensive development of the village. And who better than the local Members of Parliament to drive this change!

This specially created forum on MyGov invites out of the box ideas on how the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana can become the driving force in bringing a qualitative difference in our villages. Lets make the development of our villages a grand mass movement and together create a golden future for rural India.

this project become stronger if the development goes through poor people. power supply, education ,medical facility, entertainment,it hub, roads, derange system, houses for needy people, pds systems, sensation facilities etc become more affective.this could happen only when a strong channel of honest officers, elected persons, people of different fields & villagers where the development implemented.we should work together.

Great initiative but over the past so many years we have lost faith in leaders so we would get some relief if you could tell us how you the work is going to be monitored. Otherwise we are sure nowadays that all the money sanctioned is going to be pocketed. It is a great step to switch to a demand -based approach. Plus, we have faith that the govt must have decided how to strictly supervise the work but we would like to hear about it

resp. PM ji, good initiative.. good thought, but i just want to know that why voters of MP's home and sasural village will vote for him in next election when they know that he/she could not even think over their village. they think about other person to vote for their village may be got adopted. so this condition is give negetive point to a good cause.... just think and do correction. it can be restricted in first attemp but not always.

Please lay down yardsticks for achievement in 30 areas. Let each MP decide which 5/ 10 odd areas of improvement he wants to prioritize before the others. Whether he does it on its own or he consults the concerned village is his problem. Sample videos to act as guidelines for understanding by MP/ villagers can be given to him(No brand specific, else he will cry favourtism).

It is pleased to see that Prime minister had asked the sansad not to select village on personal interest , One more thing he need to focus as any village selected by sansad resources and schemes should not be dumped their rather it should be need based and demand driven benefits and finally end with ownership .
