Solar Energy,Biomass plant,Rain water harvesting and Milk Chillers will transform our villages. Local solar energy production will save huge transmission and distribution costs and losses in addition to reliability. Other solar solutions are solar water heaters, water pumps and street lights. Biomass plant (Gobar-gas, agricultural and other waste) will meet requirement of piped cooking gas, power and organic manure in addition to cleanliness. Milk Chillers will get better price and quality.

An innovative and workable model of village development from the Prime Minister.
Along with the MPs and MLAs why not think of associating the NRIs of a particular village if there is any, as practised in Gujarat. In the place of village, the concept should of a Gram Panchayat(GP) As Panchayati Raj is in operation all over the country the development model should be of the Gram Panchayat in a Block,in the place of a village. There may be more than one village in one GP.The development will be who

I know it's a party issue but even if 280 MPs of ruling govt ensure that they are engaging with people, listening to them, sorting out common issues and demonstrating their concern for their constituency, I am sure they wont need to campaign for next elections at all. People do appreciate if MPs/ MLAs are involved enough in their constituencies. PMO tries to use social media to reach out, but no such attempt by the MPs of the same party. I guess this is a small step which may lead to big change

I know I am a bit off topic but as it involves MPs. Its always a good idea to encourage citizens' participation in governance, but one has to have enough ears to listen what common people have to say. Why is there no attempt to reach out to and to listen to people by individual MPs.

There is a large divide between urban and rural regions of India. Populations of urban and rural India have drastically different mindsets, needs and wants. For issues where the urban and rural demographics want contradictory things from the same governing body the result is a stalemate. If we had separate governing bodies then such problems can be mitigated. Urban areas could be easily brought up to first world standards while rural areas could concentrate on basic needs.

this is a great thought indeed, but i want to ask isin't it the same thought of management when gram panchayats were designed initially. self independence and interdependence is the key to successful society. this was the initial thought of dividing the country in units, for better management and progress. we have failed at it and will fail again if we cannot recognise the problem and rectify it.
corruption at all levels, no accountability of clerks has doomed us. its all paper work going on.

Sir ask MP's to upload the video regarding their work in village so that other MP's will get ideas from it. also people will also come know about their MP's work. it would better if videos contains stage wise progress also problems faced during implementation so that policy makers and research students get idea about implementation. because they gave reports which hardly few read it. it is better if there is website such videos so more youngsters will see it and suggest for further improvement

Leverage IT and mobile networks to help farmers sell their produce at profitable prices eliminating middle men. This can also help reach subsidies and equipment to farmers without corruption. All village panchayats should be supported to create and maintain water bodies for agriculture. If farming is profitable, farmers children will not migrate to cities. Villages will have a sustainable economy.
