The Prime Minister shared a visionary approach to transform the development journey of our villages in the form of the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. The initiative calls upon MPs to select a village in their constituency and make it a Model Village by 2016. Furthermore, the number of model villages should increase as time progresses so that in a decade a large number of villages become Model Villages across India.

The rationale behind a landmark idea such as this is clear- India lives in the villages and India will only progress when our villages progress. Development of villages can happen best when everybody walks shoulder to shoulder and contributes towards the comprehensive development of the village. And who better than the local Members of Parliament to drive this change!

This specially created forum on MyGov invites out of the box ideas on how the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana can become the driving force in bringing a qualitative difference in our villages. Lets make the development of our villages a grand mass movement and together create a golden future for rural India.

First of all the members of Parliament be educated on the fact that we Indians have to act together for a brighter tomorrow. Just quoting an example how Shashi Tharoor was suspended from the party for cooperating in our Hon. Prime minister's Clean India Strategy. Congress men, do we really need to bring politics in this?

PM sir. dont limit the scheme to just the MPs or MLA's. open it up to corporates. all large and medium corporates have CSR funds and they can take multiple villages and improve them faster. also open it up to citizen groups and NGO's. this will ensure that the development is faster. appropriate guidelines can be made but dont limit this scheme sir.

This should not be just limited to saansad and government officials. At least youngsters should also take active participation in this. Let me give my own example. One of my friend working as fellow with one NGO called me and we decided to put something in a remote village after a long discussion we have installed a solar water distillation plant at that village as a model. This plant can purify water quantity sufficient for 3 person in a day without any cost. so such initiatives should go on.

Every new initiatives are coming for better change. But we must focus on implementation by audit or transparency so that we get fruit full out come through these new change. Because we saw may schemes by past govt. , but all schemes were failed due to poor implementation.

proposed solution - list out all the NGOs in the country, categorise them in the causes they are focusing on (cleaning, education to poor), bring the same cotegory NGOS together and form a network to bring them together, appoint a leader to each of this category and strategy can b formed and implemented by having a meeting with these leaders once a month. Fund allocation from govt to these NGOs should b channelised.

As per my view the villagers are facing 1.lack of power supply 2.lack of proper transportation i.e roads are not proper and they dont have good transport system to their nearest town 3.their is no proper discharge of wastage material 4.lack of bathroom's 5.proper education facility 6.their no proper drinking water facility due to which they travel a lot of distance to bring clean water. thank you..
