Britishers eradicated the Gurukuls by banning donations to sanskrit based Gurukuls and implemented the inferior system of education which made future generations ready to become a labor and less than what citizens of a sovereign nation should be. Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojna must adopt 20% if not 80% or 100% of Gurukul system, wherein children must be taught skills like Self Defense, Pranayam and Yog, Self-Control, Vedic Mathematics and inculcating in children ability to innovate and research.

In Adarsh Gram, new buildings should have glass ceilings so that they enjoy sunlight all day. This will save electricity, and sunlight is much brighter than bulbs anyway. Sunlight also makes the inside of the building more cheerful...in schools, government offices, etc. There should be ample street lights so that people never have to walk in the dark.

In Adarsh Gram There should be post boxes in short distance so that people can easily post letters, and be encouraged to exchange greetings etc regularly with their lived ones. They should also have a library nearby where they can read, use Internet, and attend various classes to learn or keep themselves entertained in a constructive way.

Adarsh Gram can also have a Sunday market where residents can sell handmade items, home made pickles, etc, this will help them put their time, skills and hobbies to good use. There should also be a large common ground where people can celebrate festivals together, and also gather to watch important events together on a big screen...such as PM's address to the nation, etc.

There should be electric buses for short distance commuting to and from the selected Adarsh Gram. These buses are not noisy and dont give out smelly fuel fumes. These buses should ply to markets, schools, temples, park, library, station, etc.

Vegetable and flower markkets should be given extra municipality support so that they get cleaned once a day after markets close at night. Evergreen trees should be planted so that there is no effort required in cleaning fallen leaves in autumn season. In parks, etc, the lawns should be mowed regularly by the municipality.

If possible, keep some areas out of bounds for cows. I love and respect cows, but some areas at least should be free from cowdung. Large parks and fenced areas should be designated for keeping, feeding, rearing and grazing of cows.

Please conduct a survey in many villages to understand what the residents like or dislike most in their respective villages. The best practices from there should be used as additional input for Adarsh Gram.
