Hi,
As I am an engineer into Power/Oil &Gas sector, From my experience i could say that Both are needed. Classes are very important to make them know about safety, Health, and know how basics and general knowledge , Risks , First Aid , emergency readiness etc. Once they are trained in this. On job experience is needed for few weeks. This makes them prepared about what they are doing. In mining they must know theoritically which gases are poisonous, which metals are toxic in nature etc.

Dear Prime Minister,
I saw a very interesting idea on web and thought this could be a way to motivate people to dump garbage appropriately. I thought it is worth sharing with all.

We need theoretical as well as a hands on knowledge.having only one can be futile as a person who knows out what he has to do but can't do it is as useless as a person who does but cannot get results

Any change can only come in free, fair market oriented atmosphere. I myself being a marine officer worked in SCI (a central govt company) and then in a japanese, canadian and danish shipping companies. I can say with some authority that public sector working environment is a manifestation of worsts of all nature. While working in SCI i faced sycophancy, bribery, loot of company stuff, unfair treatment etc....actually a long list. While working with a danish company i understood why a company starting with 1/10 th of capital of SCI is today the world's biggest company.
Sir with due respect i would kindly advice you to look into the public sector mess.
The agenda of your topic is actually a continious program....just refer to any internet sites of successful mining company. Sir, please look into the DBS bank example of Singapore.
We need PSU companies but only as majority shareholder, entire business of running the companies should be entrusted as if in a private structure, there should be autonomy with accountability. All these PSU's with their increased valuation and dividends will fill the government coffers. Just look at the example of Temasek of Singapore. All the CSR work, training of indian citizens, strategic interests can be taken care of with majority shareholding.
Hope you will look into this matter.
Many regards,
Suman

Skill is by birth but the good thing is that it can be developed too. The schools & colleges should promote NTC (National Training & Consultancy), Young Orators & NCC Camps which develops children's skills at early age. The Government should make such things mandatory in every schools & colleges. Sports should also be included.
