The sun shone on 26th January A new hope did beckon A wave of excitement rose Like never before. But this does not feel right Is this all we can do to repay Or remember all that happened that day Raising the flag and clapping is not a celebration . It must come from within The true feeling of when history was rewritten When we became a republic That is the true meaning of republic day. Let’s preserve our freedom Conserve our history Rise as a nation Like never before. Jai Hind
