If more number of vocational schools offering short, time-bound (say 2 weeks-1 year) courses are set up, especially in the rural areas, we can increase skill development. This can lead to job placement of many independent skilled and semi-skilled workers of the unorganized sector, as well as senior citizens. Skill development, of the youth in particular can give them an edge and increase productivity and income. These courses can be be held for about an hour in the evening, or even once a week.

Every citizen of India should be trained in sign language and Braille. This will help us communicate better with the differently abled and equip them with skills that will tap their potential to the fullest. It will create huge employment opportunities for them in India and abroad. All academic textbooks should be available to them in Braille and video format. They should be offered opportunities for global exchange programs - to interact with and learn from their successful counterparts.

Assam Oil School of Nursing is a community development initiative by the Indian Oil Corporation at Digboi Assam. It runs a three-and-a-half -year course on general nursing midwifery (GNM) which is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council. AOSN has changed the destiny of many girls from poor families in the remote part of North-East India which provides 100% placement in hospitals across the country. So, PSUs and private corporates which maintains a hospital may go for such initiative under CSR

"Skill Development Chain" lots of training schemes been employed by govt earlier but failed. If we have a long term approach & channelized efforts all would fall in place for a great nation. Village youth going to city; City youth going abroad something they find luring which is mostly not possible in their hometown. I have expressed my views as brief as possible in the file attached what maybe just a small gravel in the sand. Please read and comment.
