1. Studies have shown that lightly colored roofs use 40 percent less energy for cooling than buildings with darker roofs. White roof systems save more energy in summer climates. 2. Proper placement of windows and skylights as well as the use of architectural features that reflect light into a building can reduce the need for artificial lighting. 3.use flourescent bulb instead of incaldescent bulb. 4.use automatic solarlights on highway.

In larger cities the street lights to be lighted in the night and switched off by the dawn but due to the manual switching on/off lot of energy is being wasted when the lighting is on when it is not required. They should be on and off automatically by instrumentation and control system which will save energy. The workers can engage in other fruitful activity by retraining them.

Install 4 sided LED screens on all major traffic check posts. 1. Govt of India can communicate important initiatives/reminders/schemes/campaigns/tourism. 2. All of them are controlled centrally. 3. During an off season, these screens can be used by interested parties to promote content by paying an upfront fee. So in few years, the cost of set up would be zero. 4. They can be used to promote party's agenda during elections. 5. We save a lot of trees and paper by this.

India consumes 1/60th per capita energy viz a developed nation. We need to prepare for generation, reduction in T&D losses, optimised demand based on load balancing and energy efficiency. EE:- Use of heat exchangers (eg. solar non electric refrigeration and cooling, reuse process heat). Energy Conservation: Municipal ward level biogas plants for wet garbage to produce cooking fuel. Optimisation: Village level direct exchange electric purchase so that consumers can get power when they need.

Set up system for feeding grid from home solar panel. Return on investment is 12% . break even 6 yrs. return continues. we need to reverse engineer one system in use in USA. and mass produce it. Potential to cut oil imports by 10%, funded by individuals, generates employment. Refer my post on the subject too.

PUT ALL OUT EFFORTS TO STOP PILFERAGE OF ENERGY. AS PER INDEPENDENT STUDY 35% OF ENERGY PRODUCED IS STOLEN / NOT BILLED. IF THIS COULD BE TACKLED THOUGH IN PHASED MANNER, BHARAT'S ENERGY EFFICIENCY WOULD GO UP TREMENDOUSLY . AGAINST WORLD AVERAGE OF 1.9 UNITS PRODUCTION AT PLANT HEAD PER UNIT CONSUMED, BHARAT'S AVERAGE IS APPOX 3.8 UNITS PRODUCTION AT PLANT HEAD PER UNIT CONSUMED.

i will install mini turbines in all the govt. buildings above height of 10m. so that they will produce electricity for their own requirement and if surplus then supply to nearby areas. i.e. making building GREEN BUILDING. also give subsidy to private parties or public in purchase of equipments for the same & give credits & certificate for that which will be counted in govt. job application. being a civil engg. i have plan for its successfully implementation & also have live example.
