IN is India’s Country Code Top Level domain (ccTLD). The Govt. of India delegated the operations of INRegistry to NIXI in 2004. The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) is a Not-for-Profit Company incorporated under section 25 of the Indian Companies Act, 1956, with an objective of facilitating improved internet services in the country. The INRegistry operates and manages India’s .IN ccTLD.

The INRegistry ensures operational stability, security and reliability of the .IN ccTLD. The INRegistry implements the policies of Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India from time to time.

The last date of submission is 25th October, 2014.

The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.50,000/-.

The logo for .in registry has been designed with the symbol of wireless fidelity (WiFi) depicting growth & progress. With the 4 prominent colours of the Indian flag this simple logo uses a combination of Devanagari and English fonts.The globe shows how internet helps people connect globally. The line on “in” depicts stability & also protects the “.in” user from any security related mishap worldwide.

Logo- INRegistry, Punchline- "Uniquely Indian- Uniquely You". The logo- actually a "Dot I N" as seen from top to bottom is the figure of an individual and symbolizes her/his unique Indian identity with the use of the tricolours.The Chakra/Wheel is the "dot" in .in, as well as represents the head of the individual. The two arms of letter "I" are his hands, with which he shapes his destiny, and that of his country. The letter "N" is in the shape of his step forward in this direction of progress.
