Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) seeks entries for an innovative designing of a logo for National Awareness Campaign on Energy Conservation. The objective of this national campaign is to create awareness among the citizens of India for good practices and habits towards energy saving.

The last date of submission is 5th December, 2014.

The winning entries will be awarded cash prize as under:

1. First Prize - Rs. 25,000/-
2. Second Prize - Rs. 15,000/-
3. Third Prize - Rs. 10,000/-

There will be three prizes for third position and Rs 10,000/- will be awarded to each winner.

Logo theme: "SAVE ENERGY-SPREAD ENERGY". A sunflower with petals represents our small efforts to conserve energy.Conservation does not mean–no use of energy rather proper and efficient utilization of energy.The Sun is the main source of energy and we should harness the power of solar and other natural resources of energy like wind and water.Unlike the Sun we should spread and make people aware of the good practices and habits towards saving energy. R3 (Reduce, Reuse,Recycle).Brightening life.

The logo represents our small efforts to conserve energy. Conservation does not mean –no use of energy rather proper and efficient utilization of energy. The green color represents conserving non-renewable resources of energy and harnessing natural/bio-energy. Making people aware and prompting the purpose of eco-energy and energy conservation.

The logo has the letters ‘e’ and ‘c’ depicting energy conservation. The letter ‘c’ in green is to represent the growth in conserving energy and the word ‘on’ in red also means the process is on. The navy blue lines show energy towards the ultimate goal of the people.

The logo shows the world encircled by a red ribbon to form ‘e’ for energy in red. The earth has an outline of yellow to show the primary energy ‘The Sun’. The bottom of the earth drawing has design to depict water. The drawing to depict birds is on the top of the earth drawing to show wind. All three represent alternate energy resources. The green and yellow outlined figure shows hope as it represents a sprouted plant, for renewable energy sources and emerge victorious.

Black half - night time, blue half -day time, wind mill is to collect energy and act as the filament of bulb, half glowing bulb glow only in night and not in day time, text is to communicate directly, india in earth shos national awareness and that leads world's also, hands for caringand greenish earth aimed through previous steps
