Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) seeks entries for an innovative designing of a logo for National Awareness Campaign on Energy Conservation. The objective of this national campaign is to create awareness among the citizens of India for good practices and habits towards energy saving.

The last date of submission is 5th December, 2014.

The winning entries will be awarded cash prize as under:

1. First Prize - Rs. 25,000/-
2. Second Prize - Rs. 15,000/-
3. Third Prize - Rs. 10,000/-

There will be three prizes for third position and Rs 10,000/- will be awarded to each winner.

Electricity is the premium form of energy that every citizen relates to. The logo depicts in a minimalistic way the idea of we as the consumer. The BEE can take this logo forward as the first attraction point and then relate to it on grounds of clean and green energy as well as other energy practices.

Idea behind the logo is to synergies the different symbols of energy in one stable symbol which can represent the be aware sign of loosing energy. The roundness is symbolic for Bulb as well as saving hands. Red color symbolize that you have on something and forgot to off.

I have kept my Logo associated to Green, as it signifies life and the Mother Nature. The energy that we harness in different forms, is all a part of the Sun and our Nature. But the depletion of natural resources necessitated the need of awareness for the conservation of energy. The two hand signifies the effort of this organisation, for such a noble cause to save and conserve the gifts of Nature.

In India different regions are rich in different Non-renewable resources by utilizing these resources to great extent we can save the renewable resources and these resources can be used at places and conditions where non renewable energy resources can't be used.
