The Dr. Ambedkar Foundation (DAF) is an autonomous body under the administrative control of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. The Foundation has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing, administering and carrying on the important and long-term schemes and programmes identified during the Centenary Celebrations of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The main objectives of the Foundation inter alia include implementation of programmes and activities for furthering the ideology and message of Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar among the masses in India as well as abroad.

Presently, the Foundation does not have any logo of its own. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Dr. Ambedkar Foundation. The last date of submission is October 1, 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-.

This design is created after considering great personality of Dr. Ambedkar. Every element of design has its own value. Dr. Ambedkar fought for equal right of education for Dalits, so I tried to capture this thought using the book and the sun (like sun spread his light equally for all lives) also he was greatly inspired by buddhism, so the symbol of the Dikshabhoomy is used to encircle entire logo. Additionally, the famous pose of Dr. Babasaheb is used so that design easily sates its subject.
