The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

A computer a tablet and a phone in the logo with all the facilities for the common man, even a farmer is connected to take guidance for his crops or e-governance or access the jan dhan yojana. top row happy digitally empowered indians in a wifi format

PCB on flag theme, Hand pointer and Upward arrow represent Digital empowerment, e-service delivery via online/mobile platforms and Ease of access. Blue cloud represents Cloud Computing, Collaboration, Easy and Universal Accessibility. Binary representation (ASCII) of “DIGITAL INDIA” symbolizes Safe and secure cyber-space. Devanagari (The script for the national and several regional languages) simulation typeface used for “Digital” represents E services/resources in Indian languages
