I suggest Chennai consider for pilot testing, Implementation of Dustbins and maintenance of those dustbins which is more important. Making a transparent feedback system from the public will enable to improve the Service provided by the municipality as well as, Municipality should maintain a regular checkup of the reports from people based on points. Immediate response for the people request should be enabled to ensure the disposal of waste when it is full so that the overflow can overcome.

We should select 25 cultural tourist cities and 25 industrial cities and select 150 towns along the 200 km circumference of main cities. This will give continuity to solid waste management as referral point and rest of cities and towns solid waste management in future could be measured against them. When people see them they believe and dispersion of solid waste management of main cities and town within every two hundred km will reinforce the possibilities and habit as well.Let every city compete

"Swachh Bharat" really means a lot as every city and town in our country needs cleanliness and sanitation except few high class areas. As the Govt. is planning to identify 50 cities and 150 towns, I request the Govt. to pick 2 Municipal Corporations(North & South) and 4 Municipalities(East, West & Center) from each state and fund for underground drainage facility with waste water treatment and fund subsidy for private companies to establish solid waste recycling machinery. Thanks for oppurtunity

The city of Pune in the Indian state of Maharashtra may be relatively prosperous, but on its roadsides you will often find waste food, discarded and left to rot, and creating a potentially serious health hazard. However, for the Appropriate Rural Technology Institute (ARTI) this problem is also an opportunity. Founded by scientists and social workers, ARTI looks to technology for solutions to rural issues. website is http://www.ashden.org/winners/arti06

RAJAHMUNDRY on the banks of GODAVARI in Andhra Pradesh which is heading for PUSHKARAMS in August 2015 is most priority City to be considered in this waste water and solid waste management. Entire city drainage and Industrial effluents indiscriminately flown to GODAVARI our lifeline resulting heath hazards to people. Ex MP from Congress for 10 years did not care this horrible pollution.Treatment plants, underground drainage and shifting pumps away from river, vermi compost yards are to be done.

Ulhasnagar, Thane, kalyan....The amount of daily waste generated is humangous, but nothing usefull is done on it, i have seen just a small dumping ground being converted into a huge mountain of garbage in Maral Gaon area in kalyan.

prior to waste management, there should be a serious concern to waste collection also. The persons who collect the trash to maintain the streets clean should get the basic amenities like Mask, Hand Gloves, Shoes etc. , as they are the ones who get affected and spread some chronic diseases. So, 'hygiene' is a word that should be focused first on the waste collectors. Taking these measures could build trust and hope in the minds of the workers and could fetch better living conditions in cities.
