Sir may it please your Excellency, Leave salary taxability. As per Sec 10(10 AA) of the Income Tax Act 1961 Leave salary ( Earned leave encashment) payable to a Government ( Central and State) employee at the time of retirement is not taxable whatever the amount may be . This is fully exempt. But this payable to other employees of Semi Govt, PSU, Universities and colleges , Autonomous bodies and private sector employees is taxable. Deduction Three lakh only allowed to them.
